Team members collaborate closely with clients to bring personalized bridal visions to life in a high-end, design-focused environment.
Role Description The Fashion Designer will work on-site in Chennai in a full-time capacity, collaborating with the design team to create luxury bridal couture collections and custom pieces. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, coordinating embroidery and embellishment details, and overseeing fittings to ensure precise tailoring and silhouettes. The role involves working closely with artisans, pattern makers, and production staff to translate design concepts into finished garments, maintaining brand aesthetics and quality standards. The Fashion Designer will also support client consultations, contribute to mood boards and trend research, and help maintain an organized studio workflow.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, with an eye for luxury bridal and South Indian couture aesthetics.
Hands-on experience with Textiles, especially silk and traditional fabrics, including fabric selection and drape understanding.
Proficiency in Embroidery design and placement, with the ability to collaborate with artisans on intricate handwork.
Solid Fitting skills, including garment construction knowledge and the ability to conduct precise client fittings.
Ability to sketch by hand or using design software, and create clear technical specifications for production.
Attention to detail, color sense, and pattern coordination suitable for bespoke bridal wear.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, craftspeople, and internal teams.
Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field; prior experience in bridal or couture design is an advantage.
