Online Teacher, IG Physics

Join our global team as an Online IG Physics Teacher and work with motivated students from around the world in live, personalized online lessons. You’ll support students in developing a strong understanding of Physics, scientific thinking, problem-solving and the ability to apply physical principles to real-world situations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality live IG Physics lessons tailored to individual student needs.
Teach key Physics concepts across areas such as mechanics, forces and motion, electricity, waves, energy, thermal physics, magnetism and atomic physics.
Develop students’ scientific reasoning, mathematical problem-solving and practical application of Physics concepts.
Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive and supportive online learning environment.
Assess student progress, provide targeted feedback, and adapt teaching approaches to support strong academic outcomes.
Prepare students effectively for IG Physics examinations and assessments, including developing strong exam technique and confidence in applying concepts.
Plan and communicate clear course schedules, including lesson content and assessment timelines.
Set meaningful homework and design and administer appropriate assessments.
Develop high-quality educational materials and contribute to CGA’s learning resources.
Maintain a professional and well-organized online classroom and learning environment.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in a school setting (please note that, while valuable, tutoring experience cannot be counted towards this requirement).
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Science, Education or a related field.
Strong subject knowledge in Physics and the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents and the CGA team.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms and a passion for innovative, technology-enabled education.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience teaching IG Physics at secondary/high school level.
Experience teaching an international curriculum, particularly Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel.
Strong knowledge of IG Physics curriculum requirements, assessments and examination techniques.
A recognized teaching qualification, such as a postgraduate certificate in education, teaching degree or teaching license.
Previous online teaching experience.
