Role Description The Estate Planner is a full-time remote role responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive estate strategies for clients. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients to understand their goals, analyzing financial and family situations, and developing estate plans that address wealth transfer, tax efficiency, and asset protection. The role involves collaborating with other financial professionals, coordinating with legal and tax advisors, and preparing clear documentation and presentations. The Estate Planner will monitor changes in client circumstances and regulatory environments, update plans accordingly, and maintain detailed records and compliance standards. This position also includes educating clients on estate planning concepts, contributing to internal best practices, and supporting broader financial planning initiatives at Walker Financial.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Estate Planning skills, including experience with wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and wealth transfer strategies.
Candidates should possess Financial Planning and Finance skills to create holistic plans that integrate cash flow, retirement, tax, and estate considerations.
Candidates should possess Investments skills to understand asset allocation, investment vehicles, and how portfolios interact with estate objectives.
Candidates should possess Insurance knowledge, including life, disability, and long-term care solutions, to support risk management within estate plans.
Relevant professional qualifications such as CFP®, ChFC®, or similar credentials are preferred, along with experience in client-facing advisory roles.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language.
Comfort working remotely, using digital tools to meet with clients, manage documentation, and collaborate with colleagues.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in financial services.
