What you’ll do
As a Lead Electrical Engineer – Industrial (Oil & Gas), based in Brisbane, you'll play a key role in delivering critical gas infrastructure projects through a long-term partnership with a major client.
You'll provide technical leadership, guide project delivery and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges across the resources sector. You will:
Lead the delivery of electrical engineering design packages across a portfolio of projects, from concept through to detailed design and implementation.
Provide technical leadership for LV and HV power systems, ensuring designs are practical, compliant and fit for purpose.
Review, coordinate and oversee engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, studies and technical documentation.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear technical guidance and practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions for operating assets and brownfield environments.
Lead, mentor and develop electrical engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the team.
Manage project performance, resources, budgets and delivery outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on engineering quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support best-practice engineering standards across projects and teams.
What you’ll bring
Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering and experience delivering electrical engineering projects within oil & gas, resources, mining or heavy industrial infrastructure environments.
Current RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain it.
Strong technical expertise in LV and HV electrical design, power distribution systems and industrial infrastructure.
Experience leading electrical design teams and providing technical guidance across complex projects.
Strong understanding of engineering design processes, technical reviews, client standards and project governance requirements.
Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
The ability to see the big picture, challenge assumptions and deliver practical solutions to complex problems.
