About the opportunity
Working as part of the Psychosocial Recovery Service (PRS), you’ll draw on your own lived experience of mental health recovery to provide individualised, recovery focused and trauma informed support in the community. You’ll build respectful peer relationships with participants, using your lived experience intentionally and purposefully to share perspectives where appropriate, promote self-determination and support people to recognise their own strengths and possibilities.
You’ll work alongside participants to build confidence, develop practical life skills, strengthen social connections and connect with services and supports that contribute to their wellbeing and recovery. You’ll also contribute to group activities and recovery planning, and work collaboratively with families, carers, supporters and other services where appropriate.

About the program
The Psychosocial Recovery Service (PRS) is a program that exists to provide non-clinical based psychosocial support services to assist people experiencing severe mental health challenges, resulting in a reduction in psychosocial functional capacity as well as their family and their carers.
What do you need?
Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with mental health issues - Certificate IV qualification or above preferred
Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel
Appropriate IT skills
Right to Work within Australia
Satisfactory National Police Records Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
