About the role
I'm a New York luxury real estate agent covering much of Manhattan. Last year I launched a social video series that uses history as the way into New York real estate, and it has grown to nearly 100,000 Instagram followers. Each video starts with a story, like Stanford White's Gilded Age New York or the Rosario Candela buildings that defined Park Avenue, and connects it to the homes and neighborhoods people are buying today.
I'm looking for a creative, curious writer to help research, pitch, and script these 90 second videos. I'm also planning to feature more of the properties I represent, using the same storytelling approach.
What you'll do
• Research New York history stories, neighborhoods, and the people behind them, working from both my ideas and your own
• Write tight, engaging 90 second scripts with a strong hook in the first few seconds, connecting each story to relevant properties
• Pitch fresh ideas for both history stories and creative ways to present properties
• Fact check details and note your sources so every video is accurate
Who you are
• A curious New Yorker who loves history, architecture, and real estate
• A strong writer who loves a good story and knows how to keep it short
• Reliable with deadlines and open to feedback
• Students and recent grads in history, journalism, film, or writing are encouraged to apply
