Cobol developer (life insurence and Annuities )

Skills
· Must have experience on Life Admin Systems/ Life Insurance, Annuity products
· Min 8+ years of experience in development of policy administration system (COBOL)
· Min 8+ years of experience in development/maintenance and Support projects of Mainframe preferably Cobol & DB2.
· Min 6+ yrs of experience in SQL
· Must have good knowledge of Policy Administration System design and architecture
· Must have hand-on experience of Insurance Policy Admin system Migration/Conversion project
· Must be aware of new technologies and market updates with respect to Life and Annuity business
· Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and design the proposed IT solution.
· Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations and provide input to information/ data flow, and understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
· Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
· Document High Level and Low Level technical specifications.
· Good communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills
· Having Life insurance certifications such as LOMA will be added advantage
