The Opportunity:
Voyager Investments is seeking a Director of Mergers & Acquisitions to play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic investments and acquisitions across the independent wealth management and RIA market.The Director will manage opportunities throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial evaluation and financial analysis through due diligence, deal structuring, closing, and post-transaction integration. This role will work closely with Voyager’s senior leadership and cross-functional teams while building trusted relationships with RIA founders, advisors, prospective partners, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and assess potential acquisition and partnership opportunities in the RIA space.
Oversee due diligence processes from initial review through completion.
Develop valuation models and recommend appropriate deal structures.
Manage transaction timelines and coordinate key milestones.
Partner with and manage external advisors throughout the transaction process.
Prepare investment memoranda and other transaction materials.
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Lead post-close integration planning and execution.
Support ongoing partner success following transaction close.
Represent Voyager at industry conferences and events; regular travel is expected.
Continuously evaluate and refine M&A strategies to support Voyager’s growth and expansion of its advisor network.
Qualifications
Strong finance expertise, including valuation, financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and capital structure.
Hands-on due diligence experience across financial, operational, legal, and regulatory areas.
Direct M&A experience, including sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions.
Experience in wealth management, asset management, RIAs, or broader financial services is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects at once.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification is a plus.
