Role Description The Vice-President of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across Saipem’s business lines. This role leads project management teams, sets standards, and ensures alignment with company strategy, quality, safety, and sustainability objectives. Daily responsibilities include defining project governance frameworks, approving project plans and budgets, monitoring progress and performance, and mitigating risks and issues. The Vice-President collaborates with senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence, optimize resource allocation, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The role also focuses on continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, and reporting practices, while mentoring and developing project leadership talent across the organization.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including experience leading large, complex projects and portfolios in engineering, energy, or infrastructure environments.
Candidates should possess Program Management capabilities, including coordinating multiple related projects, aligning outcomes with strategic objectives, and managing interdependencies.
Candidates should possess Project Planning expertise, including defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
Candidates should possess Budgeting and financial oversight skills, including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis for major projects and programs.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess performance metrics, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
Extensive leadership experience in project or program management at a senior level, preferably in global, matrixed organizations.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation abilities, with experience engaging executive leadership and external partners.
Knowledge of project management frameworks and tools (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile where relevant) and proficiency with project management software.
Advanced degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related field; professional certifications (
