Role Description The Vice-President of Project Management is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing complex, multi-domain programs and projects across Leonardo’s global portfolio. This role leads project management teams, sets standards and methodologies, and ensures alignment with strategic business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Daily activities include directing project planning efforts, monitoring execution, managing budgets and resource allocation, and mitigating risks and issues. The Vice-President collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, optimize delivery timelines, and drive continuous improvement in project performance. This position also mentors project leaders, promotes best practices, and supports the adoption of digital tools and data-driven decision-making in project management.
Qualifications
Strong Project Management skills, including experience leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Demonstrated Program Management expertise in coordinating multiple projects within strategic portfolios.
Proficiency in Project Planning, including defining scope, timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
Advanced Budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to oversee project and program-level P&L.
Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risks, evaluate performance, and inform strategic decisions.
Proven senior leadership experience, including team management, coaching, and stakeholder engagement at executive level.
Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities in multicultural, global environments.
Experience in aerospace, defense, security, or related high-technology sectors is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) preferred.
Comfort with remote leadership, digital collaboration tools, and driving change in geographically distributed teams.
