Vice-President for Organisational Development

Role Description The Vice-President for Organisational Development is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for designing and executing strategies that strengthen Vertex Growth’s culture, structures, and people practices. This role oversees the planning and implementation of organizational development initiatives, including change management programs, talent development frameworks, and performance optimization across departments. The VP will collaborate with executive leadership to align organisational design with business objectives, analyze organizational effectiveness, and recommend improvements to processes, governance, and communication. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading key projects, managing budgets for development programs, setting metrics and KPIs, mentoring leaders, and ensuring that organisational policies and practices support inclusive, high-performing teams. The role also requires cross-functional collaboration to foster engagement, manage stakeholder expectations, and build long-term capacity for growth and innovation.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in philanthropic and fundraising strategy, including expertise in Planned Giving and Philanthropy, with the ability to integrate these approaches into organisational development initiatives.
Strong background in donor and stakeholder engagement programs, including Annual Giving, with a track record of designing and sustaining long-term relationship-building frameworks.
Proficiency in Budgeting for organisational development, talent, and change management initiatives, including forecasting, resource allocation, and financial stewardship.
Advanced Project Management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional organisational development projects from concept through execution and evaluation.
Extensive leadership experience in organisational development, HR strategy, or related fields, preferably at the senior or executive level.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing distributed teams and stakeholders through clear communication and digital collaboration tools.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and feedback to inform organisational design and improvements.
Strong facilitation, coaching, and change management skills to support leaders and teams through transformation and growth.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience embedding inclusive practices into organisational policies and culture.
Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
