About The Role

We're looking for Senior Machine Learning Experts to author the high-fidelity reasoning traces that teach large language models how to think — step by step, tool by tool, decision by decision.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior ML professionals who want to do meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. If you've spent years decomposing complex problems and understanding how models tick, this is where that expertise pays off.

What You'll Do
Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that capture how an LLM should plan, use tools, and make decisions across real-world technical tasks
Design structured data strategies that guide LLMs through intricate, multi-step problem-solving scenarios
Review and mentor reasoning traces to ensure they reflect optimal planning logic and accurate tool-use documentation
Apply senior-level architectural insight to produce training data that makes AI models more reliable and capable
Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
Deeply experienced in machine learning, AI systems, or a closely related technical field
Skilled at breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into clear, logical, well-documented steps
Familiar with how large language models are trained, evaluated, and improved
Precise and methodical — you care about correctness, structure, and reasoning quality
Comfortable working independently without hand-holding
Nice to Have
Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or model evaluation systems
Top-tier Kaggle competition results (Grandmaster or Master level) demonstrating deep model intuition
Background in AI alignment, RLHF, or related training methodologies
Experience designing or reviewing structured evaluation frameworks for AI outputs
