Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Siddha / Ayurveda Doctor role based in Polur. The doctor will conduct detailed patient consultations, perform clinical examinations, and diagnose conditions using Siddha and/or Ayurveda principles. Daily responsibilities include prescribing appropriate treatments, such as herbal formulations, dietary plans, detoxification procedures, and lifestyle modifications, while monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment as needed. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring safe medicine dispensation, and providing clear health education to patients and caregivers. The doctor will collaborate with clinic staff, support health camps or outreach programs, and uphold all clinical, ethical, and safety standards of the practice.
Qualifications
Formal qualification in Siddha or Ayurveda (e.g., BSMS, BAMS, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the appropriate medical council or regulatory body.
Strong knowledge of classical Siddha/Ayurveda texts, diagnostic methods, and therapeutic protocols.
Ability to develop individualized treatment plans, including herbal prescriptions, diet, and lifestyle guidance.
Good clinical documentation skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
Clear, empathetic communication skills and the ability to explain treatment plans to diverse patients.
Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and safety in handling medicines and procedures.
Willingness to work on-site in Polur and participate in community health initiatives and outreach.
Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting is beneficial; new graduates with strong fundamentals are also encouraged to apply.
Basic proficiency with computers for managing electronic records or scheduling is an added advantage.
