As a US Intermediate Accountant, you will play a central role in maintaining precise general ledger records, optimizing Accounts Payable workflows, and driving smooth month-end close operations for U.S. clients. Designed for a proactive and detail-oriented financial professional, this remote position operates during U.S. business hours. You will leverage modern accounting and corporate spend platforms like QuickBooks, Ramp, and Divvy to ensure transaction accuracy, handle complex journal entries, and resolve discrepancies independently.
Your Impact
General Ledger & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, timely accounting records in QuickBooks and post routine journal entries (JEs), including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
Spend Management Platforms: Manage Accounts Payable and corporate credit workflows through Ramp and Divvy-reviewing transactions, coding expenses, enforcing documentation standards, and reconciling cards to the general ledger.
Accounts Payable Oversight: Review vendor invoices for proper coding and approvals, post vendor bills, coordinate timely payments, monitor outstanding bills, and execute vendor account reconciliations.
Reconciliations & Expense Allocation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure expenses are properly classified across entities, locations, and departments.
Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end and year-end close activities while maintaining organized, audit-ready financial documentation.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable workflows and assist with ad hoc accounting or financial projects as needed.
What You Bring
The Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on U.S. Accounting experience, with a strong background in general ledger maintenance and AP process management.
Technical Mastery: High proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Experience working with spend management platforms like Ramp or Divvy is highly preferred.
Operational Discipline: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
The Mindset: Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently to resolve accounting issues and streamline daily workflows.
Communication Prowess: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, allowing seamless collaboration across remote U.S. teams.
