Role Description The Duty Doctor will provide day-to-day medical oversight for patients receiving Ayurvedic treatments, including conducting consultations, monitoring patient progress, and updating treatment plans as needed. Responsibilities include taking patient histories, performing clinical assessments, prescribing or confirming Ayurvedic therapies in consultation with senior practitioners, and ensuring safe administration of treatments. The Duty Doctor will coordinate with therapists and support staff, maintain accurate medical records, and respond to patient queries and concerns throughout their course of care. The role also involves educating patients on treatment protocols, lifestyle recommendations, and preventive health measures, while adhering to the centre’s clinical guidelines and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Yelahanka Ward, requiring consistent presence during designated working hours.
Qualifications
Recognized medical qualification (e.g., BAMS or equivalent Ayurvedic medical degree) and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
Clinical experience in Ayurveda or integrative medicine, with the ability to conduct patient assessments and manage treatment plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to counsel patients, explain procedures, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to maintain accurate medical records, follow clinical protocols, and ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
Comfort working in a full-time, on-site setting in Yelahanka Ward, with reliability, time management, and professional ethics.
Interest in continuous learning in Ayurveda, evidence-informed practice, and patient education; prior experience in an Ayurvedic centre is an advantage.
