Role Description As a Live Sport Commentator at Upload For Software, you will provide real-time commentary and analysis for live football broadcasts and other sports content. In this full-time, remote role, you will prepare thoroughly for each event by researching teams, players, statistics, and storylines, and then deliver clear, engaging play-by-play and color commentary during live streams. You will collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure smooth broadcasts, adjust commentary tone and pacing to match game intensity, and respond to live developments quickly and accurately. Day-to-day tasks include creating pre-game notes, participating in production meetings, aligning commentary with broadcast guidelines, and reviewing recordings to continuously improve delivery. You will also contribute to highlight packages, social media clips, and occasional written or recorded segments that support broader sports coverage.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Commentating and Sports Play-by-Play skills, with the ability to deliver clear, engaging, and accurate live narration.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken language, audience awareness, and effective collaboration with production teams.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Football and a broad understanding of sports rules, strategies, and trends.
Candidates should possess Broadcasting-related skills, such as working with live streaming platforms, audio equipment, and adhering to broadcast standards.
Relevant experience in live sports commentary, sports media, or related roles is highly beneficial.
Strong research abilities, quick decision-making, and composure under pressure are important qualifications.
Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access, flexible schedules aligned with game times, and proficiency in basic digital tools.
A background in communications, journalism, media, or sports studies is advantageous, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
