Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Transport Manager role based in Ghaziabad. The Transport Manager oversees daily transport operations, including planning routes, scheduling vehicles, and coordinating drivers to ensure timely and safe deliveries. The role involves monitoring fleet performance, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with relevant transport regulations and company policies. The Transport Manager interacts with customers to address service requirements, resolve delivery issues, and maintain strong relationships. The position also includes tracking key operational metrics, optimizing costs, preparing basic reports, and working closely with internal teams to support efficient logistics and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills to oversee daily workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Candidates should possess Transportation Management skills, including route planning, regulatory compliance, and delivery coordination.
Candidates should possess Fleet Management skills to manage vehicles, maintenance plans, and safety standards.
Candidates should possess Customer Service and Communication skills to interact with clients, drivers, and internal teams effectively.
Relevant experience in road transport or logistics management, preferably in a supervisory role.
Ability to use basic computer applications and transport management tools for tracking and reporting.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Education in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or a related field is beneficial.
