We are looking for an Israel-based Financial Controller to join Boom's finance team. This is an ideal role for a finance professional who trained at a Big 4 accounting firm, has already gained 1-2 years of assistant controller experience, and is ready to take more ownership in a fast-moving global startup environment.
Role Mission
The Financial Controller will support Boom's day-to-day finance operations, monthly close, reporting, controls, and cross-border financial processes. The right person will be hands-on, precise, curious, and eager to learn quickly while helping build reliable financial infrastructure for a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
Own routine accounting operations, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany items.
Support budget-versus-actual analysis and help explain key financial movements.
Work with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, banks, payroll providers, and other finance partners in Israel and abroad.
Help improve finance workflows, internal controls, documentation, and reporting processes.
Support global payments, collections, vendor management, and cash-related monitoring.
Assist with tax, compliance, audit, and statutory reporting requirements.
Partner with business teams to gather data, resolve issues, and make finance processes easier to operate.
Take ownership of ad hoc finance projects as Boom scales.
Required Profile
Based in Israel.
CPA
Graduate of a Big 4 accounting firm, ideally from audit, high-tech, SaaS, or international clients.
1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Controller or in a similar post-Big 4 finance role.
Strong accounting fundamentals and comfort working with financial statements, reconciliations, and close processes.
Excellent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to work confidently with global colleagues and external partners.
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; comfortable working with systems and data.
Highly organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing details.
