We are seeking a results‑driven Technical Sales Engineer with proven top‑tier hyperscale and enterprise data center client pre‑sales & sales support experience to drive business growth for our full‑suite data center cooling and thermal management solutions across the US market. This role focuses on technical pre‑sales support for precision air cooling, liquid cooling, cooling tower systems, and intelligent thermal control solutions targeting hyperscale cloud providers, large colocation IDCs, and enterprise mission‑critical data center projects.
The ideal candidate is a consultative technical sales professional with established connections with technical stakeholders in leading US data center operators, cloud giants, MEP contractors, and data center construction firms. You will support the full sales cycle: lead qualification, technical requirement analysis, solution design consultation, technical proposal preparation, bid technical response, technical negotiation support, and post‑sales technical account follow‑up. You will collaborate with sales team to achieve annual sales targets and expand market share in the North American data center infrastructure industry.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑sales Technical Support & Stakeholder Communication: Provide technical support for US top‑tier hyperscale cloud clients, large colocation data center operators, enterprise tech firms, and professional MEP/construction contractors. Communicate with facility engineers, data center architects and technical decision‑makers to translate client requirements into feasible cooling solution proposals.
Full‑Cycle Technical Sales Support: Assist market development, customer requirement mining, technical solution presentation, technical quotation review, bid document compilation & technical response, and technical negotiation support. Cooperate closely with internal R&D and engineering teams to deliver customized cooling system solutions that meet high‑density, high‑efficiency data center construction demands.
Project & Target Alignment: Support regional sales strategies, track US data center new‑build, expansion and retrofit projects, assist technical qualification for new customer opportunities, and support the sales team to hit annual sales and market penetration targets.
Market Insight & Competitor Technical Analysis: Monitor US data center infrastructure industry trends, cooling technology iterations (traditional precision cooling and liquid cooling solutions), and competitor product technical features. Feed back customer technical pain points and market information timely to support solution optimization and product promotion.
Project Technical Follow‑up & Customer Technical Retention: Follow up project implementation progress, coordinate internal technical resources to resolve customer technical questions during bidding and delivery phases, ensure customer technical satisfaction, and support incremental upgrade and renovation‑related technical work.
Channel Technical Enablement: Deliver technical training and solution support for local US channel partners, assist partner capability building, expand technical business coverage.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Industry Client Experience: Hands‑on pre‑sales / sales engineering experience supporting US hyperscale cloud providers, large‑scale colocation IDCs, or Fortune 500 enterprise data center clients; with verifiable completed project technical delivery experience.
Industry Background: 3+ years working experience as sales engineer / pre‑sales engineer within data center infrastructure, thermal cooling, HVAC, power‑cooling system, or mission‑critical facility equipment industries; familiar with US data center construction standards, project bidding workflows and customer procurement technical review mechanisms.
Professional Competence: Solid technical understanding of data center cooling technologies (air cooling, liquid cooling, cooling tower systems, intelligent thermal control). Capable of consultative technical communication, matching technical solutions for customer PUE optimization, high‑density deployment and energy‑saving requirements.
Capability Requirements: Independent technical communication ability; strong technical document writing, bid technical response and solution presentation skills; sensitive to US data center project technical requirements and market changes.
Language & Work Style: Fluent oral & written English for full‑scope local technical business communication; willing to take regional business trips and adapt to hybrid remote‑office working mode.
Personal Traits: Result‑oriented, self‑driven, good teamwork awareness, capable to handle multi‑task pressure and maintain long‑term technical customer relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on technical engagement experience with US mainstream hyperscale data center clients, colocation operators or top‑tier MEP engineering companies.
Practical experience on high‑density liquid‑cooling solution pre‑sales support and large‑scale data center new‑build / expansion projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC or related technical majors.
Rich cross‑functional collaboration experience supporting large‑scale engineering project sales & delivery.
