SDE II (Full - Stack)

We're looking for an SDE 2 - Full Stack Engineer who can build, ship, and maintain scalable web applications using Python/Django and Next.js . This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with product, design, and other engineers to build high-quality features and reliable systems. You will be expected to take ownership of modules, solve complex technical problems, write maintainable code, and contribute to engineering best practices. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python/Django and Next.js .
Design and implement clean, maintainable, and efficient backend and frontend solutions.
Build and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
Work with databases and optimize queries for performance and scalability.
Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features from understanding requirements to development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
Identify and troubleshoot performance, scalability, and production issues.
Contribute to improving development processes, coding standards, CI/CD, and overall engineering quality.
Work effectively in a fast-moving startup environment and adapt to changing product priorities.
Requirements:
3-6 years of professional experience in software development.
Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django.
Good experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and web application development.
Good understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL and database design, indexing, and query optimization.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Working knowledge of AWS/GCP or other cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, including OOP, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience debugging and resolving production issues.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to independently own features and deliver them with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a startup or high-growth product environment.
Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and performance/cost optimization.
Experience with Redis, background jobs, queues, or asynchronous processing.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban.
Exposure to analytics and data-driven product development.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
