Position Summary
ISSI India is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test scripts to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. The candidate should possess strong automation testing experience, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Required Experience
4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
Experience in web, API, and database testing.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD processes.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
Build and enhance automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices.
Develop reusable automation components and libraries.
Perform regression, smoke, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
Execute manual testing when required.
Validate application functionality against business requirements.
Develop and execute API automation scripts using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar technologies.
Validate API responses, data integrity, security, and performance.
Perform backend testing using SQL queries and database validations.
Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
Work closely with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Support automated test execution through Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Monitor automation execution results and generate quality reports.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project managers.
Provide testing estimates and risk assessments during project planning.
Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and quality metrics.
Contribute to process improvements and testing standards.
Ensure compliance with organizational quality assurance guidelines.
Mentor junior QA team members when required.
