As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing quality automation strategies, including leveraging tools and technologies for test automation as applicable. You will create and review automation, triage automation reports, and quality and engineering artifacts. You will also evaluate and propose automation techniques and processes while working with a highly agile, engaged, and motivated engineering and support team.
Responsibilities:
Use strong scripting and programming experience to design, develop, and execute quality automation strategies.
Leverage appropriate tools and technologies for test automation.
Create and review automation, triage automation reports, and quality and engineering artifacts.
Mentor junior members of the automation engineering team.
Evaluate and propose automation techniques and processes.
Conduct interviews to identify suitable talent for the team.
Integrate automation with Jenkins and Git.
Review peer code thoroughly to ensure production-level quality of automation code.
Run, triage, and maintain automated regression suites.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools and frameworks.
Perform manual testing of the product aligned to business priorities.
Requirements:
2-4 years of in-depth experience in automating software products and writing frameworks and tools to test functional and non-functional aspects.
BE/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Expertise in defining automation architecture, strategy, and frameworks.
2+ years of hands-on experience in Python, object-oriented programming, and creating custom libraries and production-level test suites.
2+ years of experience working with and integrating automation using Robot Framework.
Experience integrating automation with Jenkins and Git.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with development, support, and escalation teams.
Proven background as an individual contributor testing and automating highly complex, scalable, and reliable software.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with Agile software development methodologies and principles.
