Solution Consultant - Managed Services

We are looking for an experienced Solution Consultant - GCP to join our team and act as a trusted technical advisor to customers throughout the pre-sales, implementation, and managed services lifecycle.
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Service Delivery teams to understand customer requirements, design scalable cloud solutions, prepare technical proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs), and support successful implementation and long-term operational stability.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud architecture, migrations, pre-sales consulting, managed services, and customer-facing technical engagements.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored GCP cloud solutions.
Act as a technical consultant and trusted advisor throughout the pre-sales, implementation, and managed services lifecycle.
Design scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architectures using GCP.
Lead technical discovery sessions, requirement gathering, and architectural discussions with customers.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, solution demonstrations, architecture proposals, and POCs.
Develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), including scope, deliverables, timelines, assumptions, and dependencies.
Support Sales teams with technical estimations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and solution positioning.
Design and support cloud migration and hybrid cloud solutions for enterprise customers.
Work with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Bigtable, and AI/ML services.
Provide technical guidance to Engineering and Delivery teams during solution implementation.
Ensure smooth transition of implemented solutions into Managed Services and ongoing operations.
Support SLA management, incident management, production troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, scalability, security, and operational stability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, Sales, Engineering, and Service Delivery teams.
Stay updated on emerging GCP, AI/ML, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud technologies and bring innovative solutions to customer engagements.
Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in Cloud Computing, Cloud Architecture, Solution Consulting, Infrastructure, or related fields.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP); AWS/Azure experience is also considered.
Proven experience in designing, architecting, and deploying scalable cloud solutions.
Strong experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and traditional infrastructure.
Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or large enterprise environment.
Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, or Cloud Bigtable.
Experience with AI/ML platforms, such as Vertex AI/AI Platform, Agent platforms, or BigQuery ML.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker; AWS ECS is an added advantage.
Experience with Terraform and cloud automation/IaC tools such as Cloud Deployment Manager, CloudFormation, or Azure Automation.
Experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, technical presentations, estimations, proposals, and SOW preparation.
Strong experience in customer requirement gathering and stakeholder management.
Experience with SLA management, incident management, RCA, and production support.
Excellent communication, presentation, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong ability to collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Service Delivery teams.
GCP Professional-level certification is preferred; willingness to obtain the certification within the first 90 days is required.
Willingness to work 12:30 PM - 9:30 PM IST to support global team and customer overlap.
