Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Test Engineer role based in Kovilpatti. The Test Engineer will plan, design, and execute test procedures for façades, doors, windows, skylights, and related systems to verify performance against international standards. Responsibilities include preparing test setups, developing and documenting test cases, conducting functional and performance testing, analyzing test results, and generating clear, accurate test reports. The role involves close collaboration with project engineers, clients, and third-party witnesses to ensure test integrity, safety, and compliance with ASTM, AS/NZS, and other relevant regulations. The Test Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods, support field or on-site testing when required, and uphold quality and safety standards within the facility.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Test Engineering, including understanding of testing methodologies and standards applied to building façades and related systems.
Hands-on experience in Test Execution, including setup, instrumentation, monitoring, and documentation of test activities in a laboratory or field environment.
Ability to design, maintain, and review Test Cases, ensuring coverage of functional, performance, and safety requirements.
Practical knowledge of Testing and Functional Testing for structural, weather resistance, and performance verification of building components.
Degree or diploma in engineering (civil, mechanical, structural, or related discipline) or an equivalent technical qualification.
Familiarity with ASTM, AS/NZS, or other international building and façade testing standards is highly beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test data.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to prepare technical reports and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
