Role Description The Senior Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur, responsible for leading the technical design of commercial and industrial solar power systems. The role involves developing detailed system designs, performing mechanical and electrical calculations, and preparing CAD drawings and layouts that meet structural, regulatory, and performance requirements. The Senior Design Engineer collaborates with project management, procurement, and construction teams to optimize designs for cost, safety, and long-term performance, and provides technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Daily responsibilities include reviewing site assessments, preparation of layouts, BOQs, etc and ensuring design documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with client objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for solar PV systems and related structures.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed drawings, layouts, and 3D models.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge related to solar power, including system sizing, cable routing, and protection schemes.
Relevant bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is an advantage.
Hands-on experience designing commercial and industrial solar PV projects, preferably within an EPC environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
