Data Insights Analys (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description The Data Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) will support the analysis and interpretation of data related to local administration activities and municipal relationships. In this part-time remote role, the analyst will collect, organize, and analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making and policy recommendations. Day-to-day tasks include preparing basic data reports, assisting in the creation of dashboards, validating data quality, and documenting methodologies and findings in clear, accessible formats. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to understand information needs, contributing to the improvement of data workflows, and communicating analytical results to non-technical stakeholders. This position is designed for individuals starting their career in data analytics who are interested in public administration and civic impact.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and foundational knowledge of data analytics to interpret quantitative information and generate insights.
Basic understanding of statistics and experience applying statistical concepts to real-world datasets.
Ability to perform data modeling tasks, including organizing and structuring data for reporting and analysis.
Effective communication skills to convey complex data findings in clear, concise language to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and introductory experience with data analysis software or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is beneficial.
