Android Kernel & Driver Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Android Kernel and Driver Engineer with strong expertise in C/C++, Linux kernel, Android HAL, Linux/kernel device drivers, and Android BSP development.
The candidate will be responsible for developing, debugging, porting, and maintaining Linux/Android kernel, device drivers, HAL, and BSP components, as well as supporting Android OS upgrades and platform migrations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with kernel driver development, kernel version migration, Android HAL, Android system software, BSP development, and Qualcomm platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop, integrate, debug, and maintain Linux/Android kernel components and device drivers.
Develop and modify Linux kernel device drivers for peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART/Serial, and other interfaces.
Work on Android HAL development, customization, and integration.
Perform kernel and device driver porting across different Android/Linux platform versions.
Work on migration from one Linux/Android kernel version to another.
Support Android OS upgrades, including changes to init scripts, device configuration, kernel configuration, and board/platform-specific components.
Analyze and resolve complex issues across the Linux kernel, Android HAL, BSP, and framework layers.
Debug issues in Linux/Android environments using appropriate debugging and tracing tools.
Explore and evaluate new debugging/development tools and demonstrate their applicability.
Work closely with Android Framework, BSP, and platform teams for system-level integration.
Implement and troubleshoot kernel/HAL changes based on product and platform requirements.
Participate in Android BSP development and customization.
Work with Qualcomm platforms and CAF (Code Aurora Forum) releases.
Analyze boot-time issues and troubleshoot problems related to the Android boot architecture.
Support platform bring-up, kernel upgrades, driver integration, and system-level debugging.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, BSP, Android framework, and application teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong hands-on experience in the following: C/C++, Android HAL, Linux Kernel/Android Kernel, Linux Device Driver Development, Kernel Driver Development, and Android BSP Development.
Kernel and Driver Expertise:
Hands-on experience in Linux Kernel Device Driver Development.
Experience with peripheral drivers such as I2C, SPI, UART / Serial, and other hardware interfaces.
Experience in kernel porting and migration.
Understanding of Linux kernel architecture and kernel configuration.
Experience with Kernel/HAL modifications and integration.
Experience working with Linux kernel versions 4 x / 5 x / 6 x.
