Role Overview
The Manager Projects will be responsible for the planning, design coordination, execution and monitoring of projects across the Group s business verticals, including Healthcare, Manufacturing and Agriculture.
The role will manage projects through the complete lifecycle from concept development and design through construction, fit-out, commissioning and handover ensuring delivery within approved timelines, budgets and quality standards.
The position requires a strong combination of project management and hands-on design capability. The candidate should be able to independently prepare, review and modify layouts and technical drawings, coordinate with architects and engineering consultants, monitor site execution and resolve design and construction-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Manage projects from concept development through design, construction, fit-out, commissioning and handover.
Prepare and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies and key milestones.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues affecting timelines, budgets or deliverables.
Coordinate project activities across consultants, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
Manage multiple projects and workstreams concurrently as required.
Design, Drafting & Technical Coordination
Prepare, review and modify layouts, plans and technical drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
Develop space plans and layouts based on business, operational and functional requirements.
Coordinate architectural, civil, structural, MEP, interior and other technical drawings.
Review drawings prepared by architects, designers, consultants and contractors for completeness, functionality and constructability.
Identify design conflicts, coordination gaps and execution challenges and work with relevant parties to resolve them.
Translate operational requirements into practical facility layouts and technical briefs.
Construction, Fit-Out & Site Management
Coordinate construction, civil, MEP, interior fit-out and infrastructure works.
Monitor site execution against approved drawings, specifications, project schedules and budgets.
Conduct site inspections and ensure timely closure of observations, defects and pending works.
Coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
Ensure execution is aligned with approved designs, specifications and quality standards.
Cost Management & Value Engineering
Support preparation and review of project budgets, BOQs and cost estimates.
Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost overruns and variations.
Review design and execution proposals with a focus on cost optimisation and value engineering.
Identify alternatives that improve cost, timeline or operational efficiency without compromising functionality or quality.
Consultant, Contractor & Vendor Management
Coordinate with architects, design consultants, engineering consultants, contractors and specialist vendors.
Prepare or support preparation of project briefs, scopes of work, technical specifications and tender documentation.
Participate in technical evaluation and selection of consultants, contractors and vendors.
Monitor performance against agreed scope, timelines, quality standards and deliverables.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
Maintain detailed project schedules, trackers, action lists and milestone plans.
Track project timelines, budgets, procurement dependencies, approvals, risks and key deliverables.
Prepare regular project status reports and management updates.
Highlight potential delays, cost overruns, design issues and other execution risks together with proposed corrective actions.
Maintain structured project documentation including drawings, approvals, contracts, change requests, progress reports and handover documents.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, HR, IT and Quality.
Capture functional requirements and ensure they are appropriately incorporated into project designs and execution plans.
Facilitate coordination between internal teams and external consultants, contractors and vendors.
Support operational teams during commissioning, handover and transition of completed facilities.
Compliance, Quality & Safety
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate project-related statutory approvals and documentation with consultants and internal teams.
Monitor workmanship, materials and execution quality.
Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and site requirements.
Maintain proper project close-out and handover documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
7 10 years of relevant experience in project management, design coordination, construction, fit-out or infrastructure development.
Prior professional experience working with a reputed Project Management Consultancy (PMC).
Strong hands-on command of AutoCAD, including the ability to independently prepare, review and modify layouts, plans and technical drawings.
Strong understanding of architectural drawings, civil works, MEP coordination, interior fit-outs and construction documentation.
Experience managing projects through design development, tendering, construction, commissioning and handover.
Ability to review designs independently, identify coordination or constructability issues and work with consultants to resolve them.
Experience coordinating architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders.
Working knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Primavera or equivalent tools.
Good understanding of project schedules, BOQs, cost estimates, tendering, cost tracking and project documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare structured project reports and presentations.
Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in the design and/or project management of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical centres, diagnostic centres or laboratories.
Understanding of healthcare facility workflows, medical equipment planning and associated infrastructure requirements.
Experience in multi-site facility rollout or fast-track project environments.
Exposure to manufacturing, industrial or agricultural infrastructure projects.
Professional certification or postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction Management or a related field.
