Role Description The IT Systems Administrator at SD Ingenieros & Contratistas SAC will provide ongoing technical support for remote team members, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues. This part-time, remote role is responsible for monitoring system performance, administering user accounts and permissions, and ensuring reliable operation of servers, workstations, and business applications. The administrator will implement and maintain security configurations, oversee data backups and recovery procedures, and support network infrastructure, including VPNs and secure remote access. The role also involves documenting procedures, maintaining an inventory of IT assets, collaborating with vendors when needed, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve system reliability and security.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong System Administration and Information Technology skills for managing servers, workstations, user accounts, and business applications.
Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for remote users.
Candidates should possess Network Security skills to configure secure access, protect data, and maintain compliance with security best practices.
Candidates should have experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), basic networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs), and backup and recovery tools.
Candidates should demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft or Linux certifications) and prior experience in an IT support or systems administrator role are beneficial.
