Role Description The Senior Resident General Surgery role is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The Senior Resident will assist consultants in managing surgical patients, including pre-operative evaluation, intra-operative support, and post-operative care. Responsibilities include performing ward rounds, monitoring patient progress, managing documentation, and coordinating with nursing and allied health teams to ensure high-quality care. The role also involves participation in emergency surgical duties, minor procedures under supervision, and adherence to clinical protocols and infection control standards. Senior Residents are expected to contribute to clinical discussions, attend departmental meetings, and support teaching activities for junior medical staff and trainees.
Qualifications
Completed MBBS from a recognized institution with a valid medical registration.
Postgraduate training in General Surgery (MS, DNB, or equivalent) or at an advanced stage of surgical residency.
Demonstrated clinical skills in general surgical assessment, pre- and post-operative management, and basic surgical procedures.
Strong patient-centric approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including consultants, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Sound knowledge of hospital protocols, infection control practices, and clinical documentation standards.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and emergency duties as required.
Commitment to ongoing learning, participation in clinical audits, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Prior experience in a tertiary care or multi-specialty hospital setting is an advantage.
