VSS Power is looking for skilled and motivated Substation Design Engineers to join our engineering team. The role will involve working across Primary Plant Design and Protection & Control engineering for HV/EHV substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare engineering designs and drawings for HV/EHV substations
Develop Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangement and equipment layouts
Prepare busbar, section/elevation and equipment arrangement drawings
Develop Protection & Control SLDs, AC/DC schematics and interlocking schemes
Prepare control & relay panel drawings, wiring diagrams and cable schedules
Prepare earthing, lightning protection and lighting layouts
Support cable sizing, routing and termination design
Prepare BOQ/MTO and technical documentation
Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications
Coordinate with Primary, P&C, Civil and commissioning teams
Support testing, commissioning and project execution activities
Requirements:
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
2–20 years of experience in substation/power engineering
Knowledge of HV/EHV substation design
Experience in Primary Plant Design and/or Protection & Control Design
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
Understanding of AIS/GIS substations and HV equipment
Knowledge of protection schemes, numerical relays and substation automation will be an advantage
Good technical, analytical and coordination skills
Experience with transmission/distribution substation projects preferred
Immediate joiners preferred
Willingness to relocate to Hubballi-Dharwad
