Essential Job Functions
Hands-on experience for VMware vSphere Suite, versions 6.5 and up
Hands-on experience for Windows Server versions 2012 and up
Good understanding of VMware VCF/VSAN/NSX
Knowledge on VMware Aria Universal Suite will be added advantage.
Patch management automation and troubleshooting
Experience in “commercial off the shelf” (COTS)/GOTS/FOSS software installations
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.
Effectively interact with internal and external personnel to coordinate and resolve complex issues Planning, deployment, installation, and upgrades of OS and applications
Integration with Enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting as well as Microsoft Office Suite
High level analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented.
Knowledge on PowerShell scripting
Knowledge of external storage systems such as IBM V7k, Pure Storage and Netapp
Knowledge of Active Directory services, LDAP
Knowledge of Terminal/Citrix XenApp/Xendesktop server
Understanding of general network topology and operation
Demonstrated ability to research and create detailed computing system documentation and operational guides/procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse user community in quick-response situations and to coordinate / collaborate with team members.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience as a Windows/VMware System Administrator
Experience developing, documenting, deploying and maintaining Windows golden OS images.
Experience developing effective, proactive monitoring and alerting to assure system uptime.
High level troubleshooting skills at the OS, virtualization and hardware layer
Understanding of networking topology and protocols
Clear and concise communications are both written and verbal.
Good knowledge of AI Agents.
Additional Requirements
Ready to work in 24X7 Shifts & on call schedule.
Training
The post holder will be expected to undertake training to ensure that her/his skills are current.
