Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Highway Design Engineer role based in Hyderabad Head Office. The Highway Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing geometric designs for highways and roadways, including alignments, profiles, and cross-sections in accordance with relevant standards and codes. Day-to-day tasks include designing pavement and drainage systems, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and reviewing drawings and technical documents for accuracy and completeness. The role involves conducting feasibility assessments, supporting transportation planning activities, and providing design inputs during construction to resolve site-related issues. The engineer will also participate in quantity estimation, preparation of technical reports, and support in client meetings and design reviews.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Highway Design and Highway Engineering.
Candidates should possess practical expertise in Roadway Design and Transportation Planning.
Candidates should possess sound knowledge of Drainage Design for highways and related infrastructure.
Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Mx Roads or similar) is beneficial.
Familiarity with national and international highway design standards and codes (e.g., IRC, AASHTO) is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills are required.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders is essential.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification in transportation or highway engineering is an added advantage.
Experience 2-6 Years
Relevant experience in highway or roadway design projects will be considered favorably.
