Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Microbiologist to join our Quality and R&D team. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring product safety, investigating spoilage issues, conducting microbiological analysis, and supporting shelf-life studies for our food and beverage products.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, water, in-process samples, and finished products.
* Investigate spoilage issues such as mold, yeast, and bacterial contamination.
* Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Design and monitor shelf-life studies for new and existing products.
* Conduct environmental monitoring and hygiene verification of production areas.
* Review and interpret microbiological laboratory reports.
* Coordinate with external NABL-accredited laboratories for specialized testing.
* Develop and implement sanitation and cleaning validation programs.
* Ensure compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP, FSSAI, and food safety requirements.
* Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams to improve product quality and process hygiene.
* Provide technical support during audits and customer quality assessments.
Qualifications
* B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or related discipline.
* *2-3* years of relevant experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
* Strong understanding of food spoilage microorganisms, microbiological testing methods, and food safety systems.
* Experience in shelf-life studies, contamination control, and sanitation programs is preferred.
Preferred Experience
* Beverages, jelly drinks, popping boba, dairy products, sauces, or processed foods.
* Investigation of yeast, mold, and spoilage-related issues.
* Experience working in food manufacturing environments.
Skills Required

* Good documentation and report-writing abilities.
* Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
