Role Summary
The Technical Architect will lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise SCM platforms using GitHub, GitLab, and Gerrit.
The role encompasses driving DevOps best practices, platform integration, migration strategies, and governance frameworks, while leveraging strong project management expertise to lead and coordinate distributed teams.
2. Key Responsibilities
Define SCM architecture and governance model.
Design and implement GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, and Gerrit solutions.
Establish:
Branching strategies
Code review frameworks
Access control policies
Integrate SCM with:
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Artifact repositories (JFrog/Nexus)
Lead migration programs (SVN/TFS → Git-based platforms).
3. Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
10+ years of IT experience with strong DevOps/SCM expertise.
Hands-on experience in:
GitHub (Enterprise, Actions)
GitLab (CI/CD, administration)
Gerrit (code review & workflows)
Strong knowledge of:
Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based)
CI/CD pipeline design
Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations.
Preferred
Experience with:
Jenkins / Automation pipelines
Terraform / Ansible
Docker & Kubernetes
Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Exposure to code security tools (SonarQube, Snyk, GitHub Advanced Security).
Experience in migration/transformation projects.
