Role Description The Satellite System Engineer is a full-time role responsible for end-to-end systems engineering for satellite missions, including requirements definition, architecture design, integration, and verification. In this position, you will translate mission objectives into detailed technical requirements, coordinate subsystem interfaces, and ensure system-level performance and reliability. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to conduct trade studies, perform system analyses, support design reviews, and manage technical documentation and configuration baselines. Daily activities include collaborating with payload, platform, software, and ground segment teams, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to test plans and validation of satellite systems. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility, depending on project needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Masters degree
Candidates should possess strong skills in Satellite Systems Engineering and Systems Engineering, including familiarity with end-to-end mission design and system-level trade-offs.
Candidates should possess experience with Satellite Systems, including subsystems such as power, communications, attitude control, and thermal management.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Requirements Management, including deriving, documenting, tracing, and validating technical and mission requirements.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis, modeling, and problem-solving for complex engineering challenges.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), systems modeling tools, or simulation environments is beneficial.
Familiarity with space industry standards, verification and validation processes, and configuration management practices is an advantage.
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
