Cheif Engineer - 5 Star Hotel

Role Purpose: Lead all engineering, maintenance and asset-protection activities to keep the property in optimal condition, compliant, safe and guest-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
Own full operation of the engineering department (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, BMS, life-safety systems).
Implement a robust preventive maintenance plan for guestrooms, BOH areas, public spaces and technical systems.
Ensure full compliance with local building codes, fire safety, health & safety and brand standards.
Lead, train and schedule the engineering team; manage performance, overtime and training needs.
Manage vendor selection, contracts and service-levels for specialized systems and capital projects.
Control engineering budget, CapEx planning and energy-optimization initiatives to reduce cost per room.
Respond to breakdowns and emergencies quickly to minimize guest-impact.
Maintain exterior and curb appeal of the hotel, including facade, landscaping and parking areas.
Candidate Profile:
- 8-12 years hotel engineering experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role at a 4/5 star property.
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Facilities Management.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality building systems, energy management and HSE standards.
- Proven track record leading multi-shift engineering teams in high-occupancy hotels.
