Junior Interior Designer

Looking for someone technically attentive, willing to learn, and capable of turning an interior design concept into a complete, executable drawing set.
The project involves developing a complete set of drawings and details that can eventually be used for phased execution.
What you’ll work on
• Furniture and space planning
• Detailed furniture and joinery drawings
• Ceiling and lighting plans
• Electrical layouts
• Plumbing and sanitary layouts where required
• Wall elevations and sections
• Kitchen drawings and internal details
• Flooring and skirting layouts
• Door, window and hardware schedules
• Material and finish schedules
• Detailed dimensions and construction specifications
• Coordinating drawings so that electrical, plumbing, ceiling, furniture and architectural elements work together
• Maintaining and updating drawings as the project develops.
What success looks like
You should be able to take a design requirement and gradually turn it into a clear, organised and execution-ready drawing set.
Attention to detail is essential. I’m looking for someone who asks questions, catches inconsistencies, understands why something is being drawn a certain way, and is willing to learn the technical side of residential interiors properly.
Who I’m looking for
• Recent graduate / fresher in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of SketchUp and/or other relevant design software is a plus
• Good understanding of plans, elevations, sections and dimensions
• Strong attention to detail with good visual and spatial understanding.
• Comfortable working on measurements and technical drawings.
• Organised and able to maintain drawing files systematically.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of work.
• Good communication skills
Prior professional experience is not required. A strong academic portfolio or relevant project work is welcome.
Location: Mumbai
Type: Contract, remote work + availbility for on site visits and meetings.
