We are looking for AS/400 Back-End Software Engineers across Junior, Mid, and Senior levels to develop and maintain core business applications running on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
The role focuses on enterprise systems, batch processing, integrations, data management, and modernization using technologies including COBOL, RPG, CL, and Db2 for i.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications on IBM i / AS/400
Develop and enhance programs using COBOL, RPG, and CL
Build interfaces and integrations with internal and external systems
Develop database components using Db2 for AS/400
Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks
Support batch operations, deployments, and production releases
Participate in application modernization initiatives
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and engineering teams
Maintain technical and operational documentation
Requirements
Professional IBM i / AS/400 development experience appropriate to the seniority level
Experience with COBOL
Experience with RPG III / RPG IV / ILE RPG / Free-Format RPG
Knowledge of CL (Control Language)
Experience with Db2 for AS/400 and Embedded SQL
Knowledge of DDS
Experience with IBM Rational Developer or equivalent tools
Understanding of batch processing and job scheduling
Experience with AI-assisted software development and Specification-Driven Development practices
Proficiency in Greek and English
Seniority levels: Junior: 1+ years | Mid: 3+ years | Senior: 5+ years. Senior profiles should bring strong IBM i architecture, optimization, integration, modernization, and technical leadership experience.
