Solution Delivery & Business Technology Enablement (DDIT)

Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for leading the successful delivery of AI, Data, Digital, Automation, and Enterprise Technology initiatives across Japan and APMA.
As a key member of the DDIT Business Partner organization, the role translates business priorities into scalable technology solutions and ensures successful execution from concept to deployment, adoption, and value realization. Working closely with Business Partners, Product Teams, Architects, Engineers, Data & AI teams, and external vendors, the incumbent drives digital transformation while ensuring alignment with Novartis architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery Leadership (40%)
Lead end-to-end delivery of AI, Data, Digital, Automation, and Enterprise Technology initiatives.
Own delivery outcomes including scope, quality, timeline, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Architecture, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Vendor organizations.
Ensure successful deployment, adoption, transition to support, and business value realization.
Drive delivery excellence and continuous improvement.
AI, Data & Digital Transformation (25%)
Lead implementation of AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, Analytics, and Automation solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, decision intelligence, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
Drive PoCs, MVPs, and scaled solution deployments.
Promote responsible AI adoption and governance.
Accelerate digital transformation across Japan and APMA.
Business Partnership & Demand Shaping (15%)
Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and capability gaps.
Translate business needs into technology roadmaps and delivery plans.
Support investment prioritization and business case development.
Act as a trusted technology advisor.
Data & Analytics Enablement (10%)
Deliver analytics, reporting, dashboarding, and AI-driven insights solutions.
Support enterprise data platform adoption and reusable data products.
Ensure data governance, security, and privacy compliance.
Stakeholder Management & Change Leadership (10%)
Influence stakeholders across Country, Regional, and Global organizations.
Lead communication, training, adoption, and change initiatives.
Foster collaboration across business and technology organizations.
Leadership Responsibilities
Lead virtual and matrixed delivery teams across multiple geographies.
Mentor business analysts and solution delivery professionals.
Coordinate external vendors and strategic partners.
Champion AI-first, data-driven, and customer-centric ways of working.
Contribute to capability development within the DDIT Japan & APMA organization.

General Requirement
Strong understanding of the Japanese business environment and practices, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders in Japan.
This position is based in Tokyo, Japan and requires on-site presence. Please note that relocation support is not available for this position.
