Full-Stack Product Engineer

IOTA Diagnostic is looking for a Product Engineer to join our small, high-ownership engineering team. You'll build product features end to end: the interface, the API behind it, and the database underneath. This is full-stack in the true sense - the person who designs the screen also builds the endpoint it calls.
What you'll do:
Build and maintain user-facing web apps in React and TypeScript, for both internal tools and customer-facing products
Design and implement the API endpoints and data access behind those interfaces
Maintain a shared component library for visual and behavioural consistency
Write schema migrations and reason about their safety
Write unit, component, and end-to-end tests for critical user journeys
Own the unhappy paths too: loading, empty, error, and permission states
What we're looking for:
Production experience with React and TypeScript (hooks, component composition, good judgement on state)
Comfort with strict TypeScript, runtime validation, and REST APIs from both sides (writing and consuming)
Solid SQL and relational modelling: joins, indexes, transactions, reading a query plan
A genuine testing habit, written alongside the code, not after
Familiarity with modern frontend tooling and clear written English (PRs and design notes matter here)
Good to have (not essential): schema-validation libraries, ORM/query builder experience, monorepo tooling, accessibility or performance work on low-end devices, or experience under privacy/regulatory constraints.
Our process: a short intro call, a timeboxed (4-hour, paid) take-home exercise, a technical conversation, and a closing conversation on team fit and compensation.
