Role Overview
We are looking for a Finance Controller to take ownership of Clairco’s finance function across accounting, taxation, compliance, MIS, cash flow, receivables, payables, inventory and financial controls.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage the finance function independently while also being comfortable with day-to-day accounting and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
Own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting, including ledgers, journals, bank reconciliations, receivables, payables, expenses and monthly book closure.
Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow and management MIS.
Own GST, TDS, income tax and other statutory compliances, including reconciliations and coordination on notices.
Manage accounts receivable, collections, payables and working capital.
Prepare monthly MIS and management dashboards covering revenue, collections, ageing, cash flow, expenses, profitability and key financial metrics.
Own inventory accounting and controls, including inventory records, inward/outward movement, reconciliation, ageing and valuation.
Manage cash-flow forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, CS and other external advisors.
Establish and strengthen financial controls, processes and approval workflows.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in Zoho Books/ERP and related systems.
Provide management with timely financial analysis and insights for business decisions.
What We’re Looking For
4–7 years of relevant experience in finance & accounts, preferably in a growing company/start-up environment.
CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com or equivalent qualification.
Strong hands-on knowledge of accounting, GST, TDS, income tax and financial reporting.
Experience in MIS, cash-flow management, AR/AP and inventory accounting.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting software is preferred.
Ability to work independently, take ownership and build processes rather than only execute instructions.
Strong attention to detail, commercial understanding and ability to work with senior management.
