Principal Product Manager

As a Principal Product Manager, you'll be a key player in setting product direction, building the product, and owning its success across Cognite's industrial customers.
Responsibilities:
Define product strategy and roadmap for the future of Cognite Data Fusion, focused on improved usability, accelerated time to value, and the integration of new AI technologies.
Drive the development and launch of innovative SaaS products that solve complex data and business problems at scale.
Shape how GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities can be embedded into products and workflows to create differentiated user experiences and measurable customer value.
Collaborate in a fast-paced environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Work closely with our skilled users to understand their needs and build products that help them succeed.
Partner with GTM and customer teams to enable them on offerings and ensure successful product launches.
Requirements:
We're seeking a proactive product leader who is passionate about user value, user satisfaction, AI innovation, and shaping robust, end-to-end solutions for complex data challenges.
You love making users happy and are committed to creating products they truly want to use.
You have a user-centric mindset: a genuine passion for understanding user needs and designing intuitive, easy-to-use solutions for complex technical problems.
You have 10+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record of building and launching successful SaaS products, ideally in areas involving big data, data platforms, analytics, or other technically complex products
You have strong experience across SaaS and AI/ML products. Experience in industrial OT/IT or industrial software is a strong bonus but is not mandatory.
You have experience building and launching products where GenAI and/or Agentic AI are core building blocks, rather than simply an add-on capability.
You are deeply interested in the potential of agentic AI and emerging AI technologies and actively explore and use them in your own daily workflows. You understand how agentic technologies can transform workflows, create new product experiences, and deliver meaningful customer value.
You have a track record of successful product launches involving AI/ML and preferably GenAI or agentic AI technologies
You have experience managing feature delivery, product strategy, prioritization, and trade-offs for a complex product area.
You excel at communicating with different types of stakeholders, ranging from customer senior executives to technical engineers and data scientists.
You articulate clear and well-structured product requirement documentation that sets the direction for engineering and design.
You're comfortable learning about new developments within the AI space and actively use AI tools to improve your own productivity and ways of working.
You have experience building products within big data or data-intensive environments, with an understanding of how large-scale data is collected, processed, stored, analyzed, and utilized.
You're accustomed to working in an English-speaking environment.
You have experience mentoring junior colleagues and leading complex product development projects across global teams.
You demonstrate strong leadership potential. While initially an individual contributor, you should have the ambition and capability to grow into a leadership role over time, potentially building and leading a team of product managers in India.
Experience in industrial OT/IT, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, or other asset-intensive industries is a bonus.
