Product Director, Metrics (Product Agility Tools)

Role Overview
As a Product Director for the Metrics product area, you will own the strategy and execution for an internally developed enterprise-wide product suite that serves as the backbone for how JPMorgan Chase measures the health and effectiveness of its products and cross-functional agile delivery teams. Your platform encompasses the systems-of-record that provide executive-to-team visibility into delivery performance and organizational health.
You will partner closely with engineering, design, data science, customer success, and business leaders to deliver best-in-class analytics solutions that drive measurable value. A critical dimension of this role is leading the agentic transformation of the Metrics product area: leveraging agentic tools to accelerate your team's product development lifecycle (PDLC), while simultaneously building next-generation AI features and capabilities for your users.
We're looking for a senior leader who combines deep product management expertise with a forward-leaning perspective on AI and agentic tooling. You should be someone who can translate complex organizational data into actionable insights and who sees AI not just as a feature set, but as a fundamental accelerant for how products are built and consumed. The core of your role is driving product excellence, data quality, and operational impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Set Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a bold product vision and roadmap for the Metrics product area. Define and align the feature roadmap with organizational objectives, with a clear through-line to JPMC's agentic transformation strategy.
Measure Success: Establish, track, and continuously refine Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Metrics product area to ensure product initiatives deliver measurable impact, drive alignment across teams, and support ongoing improvement.
Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Inspire and guide cross-functional teams of product managers, UI/UX designers, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver innovative analytics solutions at scale, spanning APIs, data pipelines, modern web interfaces, and AI-powered experiences.
Drive Agile Execution: Champion agile methodologies, ensuring effective prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery of high-value experiences. Model the same agile discipline your products measure.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior executives, delivery leads, engineering leaders, Line of Business Product & Technology leaders, and control functions who depend on these platforms for quarterly business reviews, capacity planning, and organizational health assessments.
Customer-Centric Innovation: Collaborate with UX research and customer success functions to identify pain points and opportunities. Translate insights into actionable product enhancements that surface the "so what" behind the metrics.
Operational Excellence: Oversee backlog health, testing, production readiness, and continuous improvement of product development processes. Ensure platform reliability for a user base that depends on these metrics for executive decision-making.
Mentor & Develop Talent: Build and nurture a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and growth.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of product management experience, including leadership of complex, cross-functional initiatives; bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data, analytics, or business intelligence products in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Deep familiarity with agile delivery metrics and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.). Not just as a practitioner, but as someone who understands how to measure and improve them at organizational scale.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI/agentic tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate product development workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic, ownership mindset with the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear product direction.
Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence at all levels, from teams to C-suite-level stakeholders.
Proficiency with product management, data and analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Adobe Analytics, Figma, Qualtrics, Databricks).
Commitment and self-motivation suitable to a startup-pace team operating within a large financial institution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building internal, multi-tenant enterprise platforms.
Background in data products, data pipelines, or analytics platforms. Comfort with concepts like data aggregation, ETL, caching strategies, and API-driven architectures.
Familiarity with modern tech stacks (microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud-native platforms) sufficient to engage credibly with engineering teams.
Experience with cohort analysis, benchmarking methodologies, or statistical process control in a product context.
