About Bimeda
In 1960, a group of Irish veterinary surgeons set up a company in Dublin to supply Irish vets with quality veterinary products. Their motto was "For And By The Profession". More than six decades later the company is still privately owned and still headquartered in Ireland — and it is now the 16th largest animal health company in the world, with over 1,200 employees, nine manufacturing facilities across six countries, and products sold in more than eighty.
Ireland is not a branch office. Our Global Innovation Centre in Dublin is the central hub for new product development across the EU and North America, working alongside seven other innovation laboratories from Minnesota and Texas to São Paulo and Shijiazhuang. There are currently 188 new products in the global pipeline, 67 of them for Ireland, the UK and Europe.
The work is real and regulated. Across the group we run 8 R&D laboratories and 7 regulatory laboratories, and around 130 people work in quality assurance and quality control. Our facilities hold approvals from the Irish Department of Agriculture, the EU, the MHRA, the FDA, Health Canada and others. In Europe our products focus on cattle and sheep parasite control, cattle and sheep nutrition, cattle production, equine and swine.
We're also working on being a more sustainable business, across five pillars — waste, energy, transport, packaging and community — and we publish a sustainability report every February.

The five areas
Supply Chain — planning, procurement and logistics across a network spanning six manufacturing countries and eighty-plus markets. Typically suits business, commerce, logistics, economics or engineering degrees.
Regulatory Affairs — preparing the dossiers that get our medicines licensed, and keep them licensed, across the EU and beyond. Typically suits veterinary, pharmacology, pharmaceutical science, biology, biochemistry or chemistry degrees.
Finance — reporting, analysis and business partnering across multiple markets and currencies. Typically suits commerce, accounting, finance or economics degrees.
Quality — quality assurance and control in a GMP environment: testing, documentation, investigations and batch release. Typically suits chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, microbiology or engineering degrees.
Research & Development — formulation development, analytical method development, validation and scale-up at our Global Innovation Centre in Dublin. Typically suits pharmaceutical science, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or veterinary degrees.
