Staff Engineer, State Estimation

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Engineer, State Estimation based in the United States.
This is a remote engineering opportunity focused on developing the estimation and navigation technologies that enable autonomous systems to operate reliably in complex, GPS-denied environments.
You will transform advanced algorithms into high-performance, production-grade software for embedded robotic systems.
The role combines state estimation, sensor fusion, navigation, simulation, and software engineering across real-world autonomous platforms.
You will design algorithms, build robust C++ implementations, and develop testing and validation capabilities that support reliable system performance.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of autonomy engineers to shape technical roadmaps and deliver new capabilities.
The position offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems involving inertial and vision-based navigation in dynamic environments.
Success requires strong production C++ expertise, practical state-estimation experience, and the ability to independently deliver reliable software for autonomous systems.
