NOW HIRING Diesel Mechanic ASAP (Orlando FL)

Waste Connections, Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our high-performing team in Altamonte Springs, FL. If you have experience in the Waste or Recycling industry, that’s a huge plus—but not required. 📍 Location: Altamonte Springs, FL (Orlando)
💰 Pay: $25–$35/hr. (Based on Experience + Overtime)
📅 Schedule: Monday – Friday, Every Other Saturday | 2PM to 2AM (55-60 Hours/Week)

🔧 The Job:
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Diesel Trucks and Heavy Equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
Use onboard computer systems to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
Complete work orders and documentation using our fleet maintenance software.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site service calls.
Ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.
✅ Requirements:
2+ Years of hands-on Diesel Mechanic experience (Waste Industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of DPF Regeneration Systems (especially CUMMINS and MACK)
Welding/Fabrication skills are a big plus!
Must have your own tools.
Comfortable working 2nd shift (2PM – 2AM)
Basic computer skills for Diagnostics and Documentation
Commitment to safety practices and PPE usage
