Job Description & Summary:
PwC India is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Consultant with hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and implementing Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Data Quality solutions. This is a technical role focused on leveraging market-leading data governance and catalog tools to support enterprise data governance, data quality, and data catalog processes.
Responsibilities:
Build, configure, and deploy data governance solutions leveraging the DG platform tailored to complex enterprise requirements.
Configure data domains, org units, business glossaries, workflows, data classification, technical lineage, and semantic lineage to enforce data governance frameworks and policies.
Develop and customize DG integrations with enterprise systems through APIs, connectors, and data integration tools.
Perform data profiling, data quality validations, and build data quality rules and scorecards using best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize DG workflows and integrations to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and process efficiency.
Onboard data sources into DG and DQ platforms, including ETL/ELT pipeline setup and metadata ingestion.
Mandatory skill sets:
Hands-on experience configuring and implementing Data Governance and Data Catalog features including domains, lineage, workflows, and data quality rules.
Strong knowledge of data governance concepts such as metadata management, data stewardship, policy management, and data quality.
Experience integrating DG tools with enterprise data sources and external systems using APIs, web services, or ETL tools.
Proficiency in data profiling, data quality validations, and metadata ingestion.
Hands-on experience in one or more DG/DQ tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Purview, or related tools.
Preferred skill sets:
Professional certification in market-leading DG/DQ tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Purview, or Talend.
Experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages relevant to workflow customization and integrations.
Familiarity with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Informatica, or Talend to support data integration.
Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure or AWS where DG platforms are deployed.
Understanding of the overall data management ecosystem including Data Quality, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Governance frameworks.
