As trueceil™ grows, we are looking for an Architectural Design Manager who can help translate this philosophy into real projects, products and design solutions.
THE ROLE
The Architectural Design Manager will lead the design thinking behind trueceil™, from understanding how architects and designers use ceiling systems to developing compelling applications, technical solutions and new product opportunities.
This is not a conventional drafting role.
You will work across architecture, interior design, product development, technical detailing, visualisation and market engagement, helping position trueceil™ as a design-led architectural systems brand.
You will collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, sales and product teams to develop solutions that are both visually compelling and technically practical.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Architectural & Ceiling Design
Develop ceiling concepts and design solutions using trueceil™ systems.
Create reflected ceiling plans, layouts, sections, details and design proposals.
Explore different applications of metal ceiling systems across commercial, hospitality, healthcare, retail, institutional and other spaces.
Translate architectural intent into practical ceiling solutions.
Assist architects and designers in selecting suitable trueceil™ systems, patterns, finishes and configurations.
Develop design alternatives based on aesthetics, performance, budget and installation requirements.
Product & Design Development
Identify opportunities for new ceiling systems, configurations, finishes and applications.
Work with the product team to develop and refine new trueceil™ products.
Explore new applications for existing systems such as Lay-In, Clip-In, Open Cell, Baffle and Linear ceilings.
Develop custom design concepts and solutions for specific projects.
Study industry trends, architectural materials and emerging ceiling design approaches.
Convert design opportunities and market feedback into potential product-development ideas.
Technical Design & Documentation
Prepare and review technical drawings, ceiling details and installation concepts.
Develop design documentation for architects, consultants and project teams.
Support preparation of product specifications, technical submittals and project documentation.
Coordinate with estimation and technical teams to ensure designs are commercially and technically feasible.
Review drawings and identify potential installation or coordination issues before execution.
Architect & Designer Engagement
Present trueceil™ products and design solutions to architects, interior designers and consultants.
Conduct product presentations, design discussions and technical sessions.
Understand the design requirements of architectural practices and translate them into trueceil™ solutions.
Build meaningful professional relationships within the architecture and interior design community.
Support the business development team in project identification and specification opportunities.
Visualisation & Brand Communication
Develop high-quality design presentations showcasing trueceil™ applications.
Coordinate 3D visualisations, renders and product application imagery.
Contribute to catalogues, brochures, product presentations and design guides.
Help communicate complex technical products through clear and compelling visual design.
Work with the brand team to create design-led content that demonstrates what trueceil™ can achieve.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design or a related discipline.
4–8 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong understanding of architectural and interior design principles.
Experience with ceiling systems, interior products, building materials or architectural products will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of construction detailing and material applications.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Strong design sense with attention to proportion, geometry, materiality and detail.
Ability to balance aesthetics with technical and commercial requirements.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with multiple teams.
SOFTWARE SKILLS
Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software such as:
AutoCAD | Revit | SketchUp | 3D Visualisation Software | Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, 3ds Max, Blender, Lumion, Enscape or similar tools will be an advantage.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who doesn't see a ceiling as simply a grid and a panel.
You notice lines, proportions, rhythm, light, shadow, acoustics, materiality and detail.
You can look at an architectural drawing and think beyond what is shown, to understand how the ceiling can contribute to the space.
You are equally comfortable discussing a design concept with an architect, developing a technical detail with an engineer, exploring a new product with a manufacturer, or presenting a solution to a client.
Most importantly, you want to build something, not simply maintain something that already exists.
