Firmware Test Engineer - C# Automation

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Firmware Test Engineer with strong expertise in embedded systems, firmware functional testing, RF/radio communication, and test automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with embedded devices, communication protocols, automation frameworks, and CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional and system-level testing of embedded firmware.
Understand embedded system architecture and perform debugging of firmware issues.
Test communication protocols and firmware state machines.
Work with RF/radio communication systems, including sub-GHz radios and BLE.
Validate RF parameters such as RSSI, sensitivity, bandwidth, and modulation.
Perform testing of serial communication and BLE communication.
Test OTA firmware upgrades, firmware rollback mechanisms, and battery-related requirements.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts and automation frameworks using C#/.NET.
Execute automated regression testing and analyze test results.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Work with Azure DevOps Test Management for test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
Collaborate with firmware developers and engineering teams to identify, debug, and resolve issues.
Required Skills
5–7 years of experience in Firmware / Embedded Testing.
Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and debugging.
Experience in Firmware Functional Testing.
Good knowledge of communication protocols and firmware state machines.
Strong understanding of RF fundamentals – RSSI, sensitivity, bandwidth, modulation, etc.
Hands-on experience with BLE, serial communication, sub-GHz radio, or IoT devices.
Experience with OTA firmware upgrade and rollback testing.
Strong programming skills in C#/.NET.
Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated regression environments.
Experience with Azure DevOps Test Management.
Knowledge of RTOS / FreeRTOS is desirable.
Experience with radio communication systems will be an added advantage.
